I lost my housing in March due to an extreme mold issue that rendered my apartment uninhabitable. inclement weather and lack of building maintenance by the landlord exacerbated the issue to the point that my roommate and I became very ill. In the end, the only solution available was to end our lease immediately and find emergency housing elsewhere. I am now temporarily staying with a fellow under resourced friend across the country, and recovering from the heavy physical and mental toll of the move. I am over halfway to my goal, which will help me get back up on my feet, secure housing, and afford immediate needs like food, house supplies, and utility costs.
