A cat. Contemplating in the sunlight how fortunate she is to have landed in this warm home with ample food, love and recreation. She wonders if all in the world are so fortunate? It seems an impossibility. She remembers being abandoned in a trailer park after which she was brought to a house with neglectful parents and wild canines. The world can be harsh and cruel. She wishes nothing more than to know the capacity of love and the limitless expanse it may embody. Yet in this feeling there is a profound emptiness. Knowing that it must all end. It seems a joke, not to be dwelled upon. Time for treats.
