The board game Space Station Phoenix set up for three people on a table barely large enough to hold everything required for playing. The table layout is as follows: down the entire left side from top to bottom are the alien pieces, resources, currency, and dice, arranged in a total of eleven piles (five aliens, three resources, two currency, and one dice). Immediately to the right of these pieces on the upper half of the table is the diplomacy board, which doubles as the score counter. Beside this, spanning the remainder of the upper half of the table, are the space station module components, separated into three groupings according to size. The entire bottom half of the table is dedicated to individual player boards, of which there are three, and the starting space ship cards for each player, of which there are nine (plus one player with two extra, for a total of 29 spaceship cards)
