Old fashioned kitchen, slightly cleaner than usual. Going clockwise from bottom left, stovetop wth saucepan, air fryer, lazy Susan with sauces and oils etc on the bench and a shelf full of herbs and spices and stuff above, then a marble board with kitchen implements hanging on the wall with a pencil drawing of the Incinerator Theatre above. Next to that is the draining rack with sharp knives hanging behind and two strainers on a hook above. Then a double sink with herbs, a plant, misc things on a narrow window sill with two windows behind; the white paint is peeling and two short lacy curtains and a wind chime hang as decoration. Then a mortar and pestle, porcelain knives and a blender/food processor base are on the bench with a shelf above containing small glass vases and coffee, tea, sugar, hot chocolate sachets, and Sippa straws. Above that shelf is another shelf which holds a basket full of pharmaceutical stuff. Back down on the bench is a kettle and a microwave. Next to that is my pantry full of tinned foods and ingredients. Above the pantry is an oil painting that my Dad bought from who knows where but we loved for the perspective. We felt like we were going into the old fashioned street depicted. Then comes a wooden hutch with two shelves of coffee cups and a bottom section containing a small blender, coffee stuff, cordial bottles etc. On the top of the hutch there’s a tribute to Terry Pratchett and other stuff. Then there’s another wooden hutch which has hanging in between three corny pictures of dolphins hanging diagonally in the style of flying geese. This hutch has a trophy and two shiny things on the top and it contains my acting awards, wine glasses and the Royal Doulton Coaching Days china that I have from my paternal grandma, Dorothy. Then we have the back door with an oil painting by Grandma Higgins of my family hanging above. And lastly there is my fridge which contains many shrines and memories in photo and other forms but is now carefully curated.
