This individual's Auditory Persistence quotient scale score of 160 (PR=99) fell in the exceptional range. Her score on the Auditory Persistence scale showed a significant speed-up in her auditory reaction time after the end of the main IVA-2 test period. This exceptional score on the Persistence scale is considered indicative of a more positive and motivated attitude toward the IVA-2 test than that of most of her peers. Given that her Auditory Stamina quotient score fell in the exceptional range, she was not identified by the test as being mentally fatigued in her ability to respond to auditory stimuli. This pattern of responding suggests that she does not get fatigued easily when required to process auditory stimuli.

However, since WOW must continue to support all content they’ve ever released forever, doing some kind of content rotation was not in the cards. Instead, World of Warcraft would introduce the concept of the “stat squish” where power and complexity curves would be flattened - a sort of global scaling down of power to keep the complexity and power of new content from getting too ridiculous. Since old content was, for the most part, only there for achievements and cosmetics and not for actual character progression, the amount of power those old items needed could be squished down with minimal player complaints.
