The man in the suit looks down shamefully and replies "Yeah, I, uh, I guess I should stop-" he pauses, realizing what just happened, and continues, "Wait, did you just try to-" he is interrupted by the man in the t-shirt, who is making a disgusted and repulsed face, looking down on the man in the suit, saying "don't fucking look at me."
Three children are walking down the street. Across the street, two teenagers are smoking Wii Remotes like cigarettes and watching them, horrified. The children are wearing a bitcoin shirt, a Batman shirt, and a shirt reading "the invisible hand." The girls are wearing a t-shirt of the Canadian maple leaf, but in green so it looks like weed, and a shirt that reads "100 gecs tree shirt." To clarify, the shirt does not depict the 100 gecs tree, it is literally just the words "100 gecs tree shirt." The children happily talk to each other and say things like "I wanna make my employees pee at their workstations when I grow up!" and "I wanna get rich by investing in cryptocurrency when I grow up!" and "I wanna deregulate an industry so I can pay my employees below minimum wage when I grow up!" and "I wanna pay zero taxes when I grow up!" One of the girls comments "God, the kids from that entrepreneur school are fucking weird."

He is holding a half-eaten Soylent energy bar in one hand, and a clipboard of eSports Advice in the other. The clipboard reads "be more epic," "be less cringe," and, emphasized in red, "do NOT say slurs." The coach yells: "Come on, Taundace, you got this! Don't forget your training! Eyes on the screen, hand on the Razer × *A Bathing Ape® DeathAdder V2 gaming mouse, fingers on the keyboard, and mind on the win!" Taundace replies, "You got it, pardner!" A voice comes from the computer speakers, asking "Where's that DAMN fourth Chaos Emerald?" implying that the epic eSports game he is playing is, in fact, Shadow the Hedgehog.

Custom Resources are a great way to define and store game data, but if your Resources contain Resources which contain Resources, you could end up loading the 3D model for every item in a shopkeeper's inventory simply by checking your list of available quests! There has to be a better way!
The Safe Resource Picker plugin gives you all of the benefits of the standard Resource Picker without the performance cost that comes with your Resources having direct references to all your other Resources! A table shows that the default "@export var resource: CustomResource" syntax is type safe, resistant to file moves, and has a user-friendly Resource Picker in the Godot Inspector, but it loads the entire Resource when its parent is loaded. Meanwhile, using @export_file and @export on Strings don't load child Resources, but they don't have a user-friendly Inspector interface, aren't as type-safe, and only manually pasting uids into the text field is resistant to file moves. Using the Safe Resource Picker's @export_custom attribute, you get the type safe, move-resistant Resource Picker in the Inspector, but without loading the child resource.

A diagram showing a workflow for rendering people's faces to meshes. A texture contains a 4x4 grid of faces. With a shader, one can set the UV offset and UV scale for a material using this texture, allowing just one of the faces to be drawn to a mesh. Without using instance uniforms, this effect requires the material to be duplicated 16 times, each having a different UV offset, and the mesh itself also needs to be duplicated 16 times (unless using the material override property on the mesh instance). This results in 63 more objects and around 16KB more video memory being used than the instance shader alternative.
