Come to think of it, they might be heading to the birdbath to have a drink. It’s july, it’s early in the day and already hot; they’re gonna disappear into the shadows the rest of the day.

There’s some raised garden beds that all have fencing around them because if you don’t fence in your vegetables, the turkeys will peck them all to bits. Not necessarily because they like vegetables, more because they’re hoping for bugs under leaves. It is june and sunny and the grass is green.

Flight feathers that have a nice brown/black and white pattern on them, tail feathers that are a whole situation unto themselves, brown/black striped. And they can move all the sections independently to adjust for hot/cold. A marvel, really.
