thinking about takashi tokita's 90s career. doing this many different projects with this many different styles and rising from contributor to leader so fast at ages 25-35 is literally impossible now. the conditions for it have disappeared into dust

yeah, over a similar time frame in my career (2010s) I went from a senior programmer to a somewhat more senior programmer. during that time I worked on a handful of games that were all competitive online multiplayer games but only two of them shipped while I worked on them, so arguably just 2 games?
