This image shows Kathryn Spiers, GEO magazine in her hand, standing in a beamline at DESY. She is one of the co-authors of the image “Rare Earth Element Fern”, that was awarded 2nd prize (Public Choice) at the Helmholtz Imaging Best Scientific Image Contest 2025, and that was recently featured in GEO magazine.
