What started life as a street racing Odyssey RB2 build went through one of the most dramatic transformations any car could ever go through. It began as a preface lift, all-wheel-drive Odyssey that an early speed club member took in, as its second hand. From there, it received new facelift parts, stiffened suspension and a turbo kit boosting the 4-cylinder K24A, doubling the power to 305 brake-horsepower. Then around 2037, it suffered a major crash that ripped the original engine to pieces. It was almost scrapped, until another tuner took the car in from a scrap auction in Rodchenko. From there, it received a new 3.5L V6, along with a six-speed manual transmission taken from an Acura TL Type S that was tuned with an intake and exhaust upgrade. This, once again took the power up to the 300 range… but now with more torque. After a few years, it looked like the minivan was set to retire, but not until a new tuning pair up in Yamashita took the minivan in, and gave it one serious makeover. The wheelbase was shortened and widened, and the roof sliced off to convert the body from a six seater minivan to a two-door coupe. The V6 engine and manual transmission were moved to the rear, but overhauled with a twin-turbo system to push the engine to 550 brake-horsepower. A new, coupe roof and boxy rear was hand-beaten and welded to the steel unibody, while the front hood, doors and new rear trunk were replaced with aluminium parts. A new magnesium roof was added, and new aluminium wheels were installed all to give the car a lower centre of gravity. Along with donor double wishbone suspension, taken from a totaled V2 Honda NSX and Brembo slotted brakes, it became a brand new animal.

ERA 3: Reconstructivism At the turn of the 2040s, the message had spread among solo drivers, and teams alike. Drivers, teams and even gangs had joined forces to finally gain a upper hand against the corrupt forces. With no more scarcity, a newer, richer flamboyance had taken place, and groups that once opposed each other would now work together to build rides that carried an elegance over function. ERA 2: Mech-noir In the mid-2030s, local forces had began making movements to put a bad name to racers and tuners. With rising authoritarian forces, style had to be set aside as racers had to seek the essentials in the face of scarcity. Now, a quietness stood in place of the noise, but that did not mean that their voices were silenced. As one driver put it, ‘we will find a way to live, not survive, no matter the means.’ Cars had become a call to arms, an expression of radicalism and rejection of control. Here, we’ve sorted our articles into the 3 main eras recognized by drivers and builders, fresh and veteran: ERA 1: Neon Noveau The first major events took place in the early 2020s, taking place in the city of Rodchenko. Here, fashion found its set of wheels, and it went all out. With form placed over function, bold, unabashed style was foremost in this era. As you needed was just enough bite to throw your head back, and style would do the rest for you. Some in the higher classes pushed for high skill & innovation, but the primary goal of all was to make new noise, and hold no restraint. Dauer 962 (Porsche 962)
This... is Aogashima Starlight Workshop, and this... is their crown jewel. Not only does it ride as wild as it looks, but it also a long story to carry with it. Like any other Dauer 962, this is based on a Porsche 962 C. But this particular one was originally a Le Mans race car that was converted back to road-going form by an earlier owner, and then passed over to an Eastern branch of the Lotus engineering team. There, it stayed many years testing bespoke suspension, brakes, and even some chassis modifications. At the time, not many were aware of the whereabouts of this car, and the few who actually got to sit in it, when asked, said it was both the most forgiving and most brutal Porsche they had ever gotten a taste of. "If you ask it to soil your pants, it can and will." - [asked to be unnamed] Apparently, the maintenance costs soon got out of hand, and the car was put on a private auction. But when you're a big car brand, it's hard to keep things private, and the heads at Aoga had been keeping eagle eyes on this car. They struck hard, and got too familiar with the Lotus engineers. With a stroke of luck, and a new found stash of Yen, the car was now theirs to keep, and the Lotus boffins even come back to refresh the car every once in a while - they keep the original parts too. From then to now, this car has evolved far from what it once was. A wholly revised carbon fibre body and undertray, hydraulic pushrod suspension, a remapped side-exit exhaust, and some restomodding touches to top it all off, I'd say this car is in the running for the 'One hell of a Porsche' award, if that exists. I think it should.

”Some people call me a faker for not bumping up the power enough, but honestly, I don’t see a need for it at all. After stripping weight, a cold air intake is more than enough, especially for a massive V12. And when I say stripping weight, I mean this thing is really, really stripped. Aluminium wheels, stiffer and lighter carbon body… Heck, I even used thinner glass for the windows – one and a half millimetres thinner. And plexiglass for the rear window, of course. The interior is all uncoated carbon too. I know, taking the luxury out of a GT car, but personally, I love it. I’ve been driving it for almost 10 years now? I remember when I first took it out for the Tokyo Speed Club from 2025, and things have kept on getting better since then. Looks so different since then too – been swapping part after part as I go, and I’m not sure I’m ever gonna stop.”
"I was already set on buying a new M3," says the owner. "It was the closest thing to an Alfa Romeo Giulia, except that was selling way better. So much that couldn't get my hands on one, so I had to turn to the next best thing. But the moment I laid eyes on it I knew something had gone very wrong at their design house. Still, I was set on getting the car. So I did, and I already knew the first thing I wanted to do with it - fix that nose. I set on reworking the front bumper and hood - shrinking the nose and getting rid of those weird humps. After that, I fed it a bit of extra power to make it more lively."
Bugatti Chiron
"Somehow, this photographer convinced me to come down to the city in my Bugatti, which is more or less the last thing I'd want to do. I usually just take it on a drive at the touge--when I need to go to the city, I always take my other car. Sure, It's fast, but its still an attention magnet, especially for cops. Though, people tell me I'm so good at escaping cops that they call me the 'Slippery fox', which I thought was fitting. When I saw this car at the auction block a couple of years ago, I couldn't believe my eyes how cheap they were giving it away for. Surely, something was broken in there, but I knew I still wanted the Bugatti. So I put my bids and managed to get it before it was snapped up by outlaws or filthy rich pensioners. Sure enough, when I checked at my garage, the coolant system was broken. I decided to remove it and opt for an air cooling system instead, and used two turbos instead of four. Now, it's not as heavy as a mountain, and its a little faster."
Porsche Taycan 4S
The Hyakutake Circuit is a fan favourite of the city's sanctioned racing, particularly amongst the pro class. Drivers are first greeted by a series of sharp corners through the dense city, before taking a detour onto a long, curved motorway almost shaped like a comet's orbit, hence the name, after the Japanese-discovered comet. Drivers holding their foot down can experience high G's, and many have taken their top speed runs here. But you must remember to brake before the hairpin at the end of Hyakutake's Aphelion, where the comet makes it way back towards the sun. Too late, and you'll scrape the wall. Today, drivers are being extra careful as the roads are wet.
Lucid Air 'Launch Edition'
"When word of the Fallen Angels got 'round, we had all subconsciously set them as our benchmark to beat. We kept running into each other while racing our rivals so we decided to stick together from then on. While there are some out there chasing maximum velocity, we're here for maximum grip. We can attack corners on all four wheels, or while hanging the tail out--we usually prefer the latter. Myself and Ritz, in the Shelby, like to take tight tracks through the city. I've seen some boasting top speeds of more than 200 miles an hour crushed by us; They always forget about handling. Jai doesn't always show up though, most of the time he's fixing that two-rotor. 'It's a death machine,' he tells me, as he slams the wall on a hairpin drift."

Sanctioned races are set into three categories - Grassroots, Pro and Super. In super class is where you'll find the best of the best. Gold Standards, Redline Chasers - that's where you'll find them and others alike. New to the Super class and working up the ranks is Starlet Banks and her RR Wraith - or known by many as the 'Starlet Wraith'. "It's good to let others know you're fast. As in.. mind-blowingly fast."
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6)
The good.vibes C6 is back in action, and better than before! You might not recognise this car if you haven't stuck around for long, but it almost held its own in Pro class races. Just like before, it still packs as much of a punch as it did before, perhaps even more. There are some rumours floating around that it was even able to outrun the Maximum Velocity crew before they were dethroned. Still, the owner prefers to only race in Pro class, and never Super class. Others have told me they are sure this 'Vette would win with flying colours in Super class racing, but we'll never know for sure.
"The racing scene here is huge. When I first came here I didn't expect to walk into something that they made such a big fuss out of, but here I am now, making it big time. I used to race at night, but then the sanctioned events got big and I haven't gone back since. I find it a lot better here than at night. Apparently cops have gotten a lot tougher at night after some jerks ruined the fun. But so far, no regrets!"
"'If you're not having fun, you're not driving fast enough' - Anon Tonight, Nakama-san takes out his Chocolate Diablo to show some new blood around the city. Whatever's under that Supra's hood, it definitely has potential - I can sense it in the engine's growl. But for now, we'll just have to wait until he steps on the throttle and shows his skills."

"Tonight we get up close and personal with the street racing scene. I was able to hook up with some racers to get a front scene of some of the city's action. Here, we have the White Animal LaFerrari racing the Devil 037. These two are not hard to come across at night, though the owners are elusive none-the-less. But, it's not everyday you see these two racing each other!"
