How is this a big issue? If the problem is that someone can get the key and steal the car, using the "open/close" button in the key fob would make it considerably easier and faster to find the car than looking at every license plate in the area. Or are other concerns that I'm missing?

Probably inspired by German state IDs that are legally required to contain your current home address so that whoever steals your bag knows exactly where to break in 🙂
