## Learning along the way

Over the years I've worked on all sorts of projects and with a wide variety of clients. I've experimented with lots of tools and technologies. Each has taught me something. Let's talk about the balance between faking it until you make it, and building expertise through experience and getting outside our comfort zone.

## Game On!

Cassie’s taking GSAP for a spin in a live-coded game, and the direction it takes is up to you. With input from the audience, the game will take shape in real time. Characters? Enemies? Explosions? Syntax errors that break the whole thing (hopefully not). Who knows, anything could happen.

## Bill and Ted’s accessibility adventure: Accessibility testing for developers

As Bill and Ted discovered in their excellent adventure, it can be easier to learn through hijinks, trials and practice than through reading. How can we learn from their experience to get better at web accessibility?

Have you ever felt like your quiet nature holds you back in a loud world? As an introvert, I used to think that being reserved meant I’d struggle to connect or stand out. In this talk, I’ll share my journey of learning how to navigate those moments, build genuine connections, and communicate with confidence without pretending to be someone I’m not.

## Making Waves with the Web: Audio Synthesis and Data Sonification with the WebAudio API

What’s in a waveform? How can we derive "do re mi” from only digits? Can synthetic sounds sing us a story?

In this talk, we’ll use the WebAudio API and the library Tone.js to explore the fundamentals of audio synthesis, building a drone synthesizer in the browser that creates a unique ambient soundscape based on a location’s current weather.
