hforsten @hforsten.com · Apr 5 There's a tiny gap between the case and SMA connector that radiates a little if not sealed. Putting some solder wick in the gap seals it nicely but there has to be some more elegant method.

You get copper sealing washers that deform and conform to an irregular surface when tightned with force if you want it to be neater. Not sure if that is used in RF but would be my first thought if you need to close up a small gap that is not fully flat and copper braid is already working.
I thought this might be an issue during design. The proper fix would be to use a bulkhead SMA connector but that complicates the mechanical design and I didn't think it was worth the trouble.
