From Guthrie Byard, “Thank you for bringing this to my attention. This is certainly not legal or allowed for businesses that have applied for and been approved for sidewalk cafés. In fact, this business just recently resubmitted their application and put these planters out without approval. Their design has not be altered to address the new two-way bike lane. Business licensing is working with them to remove the planters ASAP as they work with them on their sidewalk café equest. A 4’ clear path is required and must be adhered to, which in this case, goes from the sidewalk café edge to the tactile strip.”
