June 16, 2026 update report features: *CREATOR PROFILE PAGES ARE LIVE! Creators, set up your public profile with a bio, links, banner, and a grid of your published worlds, all editable from your account settings. Claim your username now! *Fan + Creator subscribers can now type any custom character name during character creation! *The Atlas avatar picker shows assets from all genres! Out-of-genre options appear under "more options." *When you finish building a world in the Atlas studio, you’ll see confetti, a “congrats!” note, and clear next steps. *A new Preferences tab in Account Settings lets you manage your Quick Reveal preference from anywhere! *Characters who reach zero energy now display a manga-style KO mark over their portrait! *Card detail views open a slide-out tray with descriptions and backstories everywhere on the site, not just in-game! *Site navigation is consistent with a unified header! The “play” page holds your own worlds and moments, and a “discover” page lets you browse the catalog.
June 9, 2026, update report. Features: *INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS CAN NOW SUBSCRIBE! Non-US checkouts will be routed through Stripe Managed Payments to handle international tax and compliance automatically. International players, you can start building with Atlas now! *The "Jump the Shark" modifier is live! Players can earn it by completing 3+ stories in a world! *Scene endings are now much faster! The final turn of a scene now returns in ~8 seconds (!!!) with a "Select Next Scene" button! *Genre-based achievements recognize community-built worlds. Now, playing creator-made worlds counts toward your Horror, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and other accomplishments! *Atlas creator docs and the help FAQ have been updated! No more placeholder text! *In the Atlas studio, the Vision tab now has a welcome blurb, guidance, a readiness checklist, and a "Ready to Review" button that unlocks once all required fields are filled! *We improved how creator-authored character traits flow into stories’ narrative context! *We improved content policy refusals in the Atlas wizard, so creators will know if something is sent to review for trust-and-safety guidelines. *Multiple minigames can now be assigned to the same verb trigger! This means nothing to you…YET!
UPDATE REPORT JUNE 2 2026 FEATURES: *Two new modifiers, It’s The 80s and Film Noir, are now earnable by all players and usable in all worlds! Gain them both by playing multiple stories in community-created worlds! *BIG updates to in-game writing style: worlds with opinionated styles (Noir, Cthulhu, Alice in Wonderland, etc.) will feel dramatically more distinct, because style is now applied earlier. *Your published Atlas worlds (including unlisted ones) now appear on your profile page with a handy pencil icon linking straight to the Atlas editor! *The Atlas Display Settings tab now shows a live preview of your World Card, so you can see exactly what players will see! *The canon character creation wizard is more intuitive, with more identity fields (traits and troubles) and a review step! *Avatar creation now uses trope tags, so Atlas worlds with animal/creature characters (wolves, unicorns, rabbits, etc.) get species-appropriate avatars without extra setup!
