The shading is just so *fun* on this guy!
I started with the green, and while I need some better control, it is BEAUTIFUL.
I don't think he is *quite* done yet, but I have to think about how I would go about working on that part.
I *had* to show that these guys were a part of the Raven/Outworlds Alliance *somehow*!
I tried doing the robes a bit differently here and I think they look okay, but not great. More cloth practice is needed! Where do I get that... Hmm...
I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed putting Abaddon together! That was so nice!

They were also rescues, and I think I did a decent job at cleaning them up! Definitely not perfect, but decent!
I had already started clean-up when I realized that I hadn't painted the blood on the LT with Combi! Oops!
I swear they look better than my photography skills make them out to be lol
Normally the black, metallics, and purple would be done in lock-step, but the tabards necessitated a change in plans!
Very soo, I will start playing with decals... I have ideas!
I kitbashed these guys from Intercessors, Assault Intercessors, and Hellblasters!
The first set is the 4 Intercessors in the back.
This was my first major adventure in masking, with my Redemptor being my second. It was MUCH easier than the Redemptor though lol.
I'm glad that most of the base Space Marine bodies are mostly compatible!
Gotta say, this thing looks like a dancer with those heels!

Hey, I only finished with 4 broken spears, 1 broken wrist, 1 broken head, 1 broken sword, 1 broken banner, a a couple broken feet... looking forward to doing the same for my Sentinels, Eltharion, and Cathallar lol.
This project ended up being a Whole Thing (tm). I'm honestly surprised I was patient enough to complete it!
These guys turned made me change my full army scheme after just being a sub-section scheme!

I love this scheme so much. The light blue to grey is subtle but gorgeous!

The lack of focus made these guys look a bit washed out, but I am proud nonetheless!
I love the OSL effect that I have here. In ANY other case, this would feel messy to me, but oh boy does it look good here!
I love how this one looks on the stand. And the music is sooo crisp. Playing with the sound effects is super fun too and it is only getting better!
This lil guy was originally a rescue. The original owner broke him in several places and gave up. With a little bit of pinning and grit, we got to this point!
Hachette may not communicate at all, even for getting you a receipt, but at least the minis end up way cheaper than buying them directly from GW!
Drybrushing makes these blends super easy. But now I want to try the same with oil paints 👀
This one let me get some blending practice before I use it on my Outworlds Alliance troops again soon!
Figuring out the laughter was the hardest part, but I think I pulled it off!

I really do like all of the melee options. Like, I could do lightning claws for the paired accursed weapons, but I could have also done a chain axe, power mace, power sword, or a power axe. That's just really cool to me!
This is where they will probably be for the time being. I have a work trip for the next few days.
I really liked a lot of the colors I painted, but not all of them jived with what I want for my Gitz.
These 5 are the Vanguard to my Gloomspite army. I believe I have 60 total little guys, 40 were picked up pre-built, 20 are still in a VANGUARD box lol. This will still be my 4th edition AoS army, but it may be a while before I can try out a game of Spearhead or the full thing.
I am really happy with how he turned out. After my break, I am honestly looking forward to returning to the Fangs.

You can't really see it here, but I am going to be touching up that power sword at some point. It does NOT spark joy. But it did feel good finishing these guys up.
Finishing up this project is making me reconsider my army's scheme, and I really think I'm going to pivot to this!
These guys were starting to look like real models. Even at this point, it was cool that most of the minor flaws from them being rescues were hidden!
I finished the chassis last night after leaving it sit for about 2 weeks. Today it was just building the weapons. That was a fun pick-me-up. I have a standard Dilanza as well, but first, I think I am going to build my Cyclase's Schwalbe Custom from Iron-Blooded Orphans Urdr-Hunt.
I did decide that, while I do like this look, the color transition from dark hot pink, to magenta, to a light pastel pink was too subtle. So I swapped out the magenta for ProAcryl Burnt Red! It will be going on as my shade layer, then ProAcryl Dark Hot Pink, then Vallejo Game Color Squid Pink!
I forgot the alt text! I do like that these are basically done. It is mostly detail work to them now. Highlights to everything I just washed, picking out faces, purity seals, etc.. And finishing the bases. This step is usually quick when I do 5 man squads. I know it won't be here, but oh well. I did ask the tournament organizer if these were considered painted for the tournament. I REALLY hope he says yes. I want to take my time with them and do the job right...
I always forget why I try not to do big projects, then I end up here lol.

This was probably the biggest individual hump. Now it's time to start making them look like more than just some orange and blue blobs.
This was after the airbrush. The T'au are completely done with the airbrush, outside of any glow I give them.
The Commander pre-work done. Thick and matted glue, only one weapon that was broken in half. I had only started by popping some basing material.
