A video very obviously made in Windows XP with Windows Movie Maker. We see the “Blue hills” sample image with the colour-cycle effect, the “Sunset” sample image with the film-grain effect, and finally the “Water lilies sample image”. Early on, the titles “hey guys” “ewlcome [sic] to my youtube channel” are displayed as an overlay, then later the text “Microsoft” “Windows Movie Maker” with a very awkwardly timed newspaper fly-in, and finally a credits scroll saying only “thank you for” “watching”. The video is soundtracked by “New Stories (Highway Blues)”, a piece of sample music included with certain releases of XP.

LR_LOADMAP3DCOLORS

Searches the color table for the image and replaces the following shades of gray with the corresponding 3-D color.

Dk Gray, RGB(128,128,128) with COLOR_3DSHADOW
Gray, RGB(192,192,192) with COLOR_3DFACE
Lt Gray, RGB(223,223,223) with COLOR_3DLIGHT

Do not use this option if you are loading a bitmap with a color depth greater than 8bpp.

LR_LOADTRANSPARENT

Retrieves the color value of the first pixel in the image and replaces the corresponding entry in the color table with the default window color (COLOR_WINDOW). All pixels in the image that use that entry become the default window color. This value applies only to images that have corresponding color tables.

Do not use this option if you are loading a bitmap with a color depth greater than 8bpp.

If fuLoad includes both the LR_LOADTRANSPARENT and LR_LOADMAP3DCOLORS values, LR_LOADTRANSPARENT takes precedence. However, the color table entry is replaced with COLOR_3DFACE rather than COLOR_WINDOW.

Then we see the code being compiled in the terminal, a disk image being mounted, the resulting EXE copied into the disk image, and a disk image being unmounted. Finally, a QEMU virtual machine running Windows 2000 is launched. We see the boot-up and login process. A file named “testapp.exe” on the C drive is double-clicked, and a new bar appears at the top of the screen, consisting of a useless button labelled “blorbobar!”. We can see that the icons on the desktop move down to accommodate the bar. The taskbar is dragged around to different sides of the screen, and we see that it and the new bar move out of the way of eachother properly. Killing the process makes the bar disappear. Finally, the app is launched repeatedly, causing many bars to appear and fill up nearly the entire screen.
