I’m not complaining because there is a lot of good info, but when every page of an article ends up looking like this, with half the page being narratively structured footnotes…why aren’t they just in the article? Half the text is in footnotes!

For footnote 49 there is a single sentence in the actual text with a broad statement of Bethman’s views, without quotes or additional info. Then a whole paragraph of quotes, statements, and defense of the authors views about it.
