My friend Gayle bought a copy of my book Staerstone, and here she is holding it at her climbing gym. She looks great in pink and has long blonde hair.
I’m reading a book in the park, on the green green grass.
I’m climbing a purple indoor boulder problem, and I reach the top. I’m happy.
I’m climbing an intermediate orange boulder which is close to my limit. It starts with a high right foot on a volume ledge, then there’s a big move up to a pinch. I match the pinch and adjust my position, then use the volume as an undercling to balance on my feet, reach up with my left hand and move slightly dynamically to the next big orange hold. The next moves are quite tricky. I hold a bad crimp with my left hand, and bring my right hand through then move slightly dynamically to a good crimp.. this relies on balance in my feet and precision with my grab, and strength in both hands. After that, the climb is fairly easy, because the holds are in reach. There are two large volcano holds at the top. ;) If you like climbing, check out my new fantasy adventure book, Staerstone! I’m climbing an indoor boulder problem with orange holds. It’s very nicely set. It’s intermediate, but achievable.

I’m climbing an indoor boulder with large reds holds. It’s probably easy-intermediate level. At Core Climbing Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia continued from the post text: … but I had promised myself to commit to going right. And I did commit, and it was good. That’s why I’m smiling at the top!

I’m climbing an indoor boulder which is rated six in my gym. It’s on crimpy black holds and it’s very fun but matching the top hold is haaaaaard.

I walk along the umm… what even are those things? They stop cars from driving too close to the footpath. So it’s a balance challenge, which runs on fast forward… then I turn and I go all the way back. The last step is the longest. I make it! In my army green crocs with climbing gibbets.
I’m climbing an indoor climb. The holds are purple and the volumes are pale green. It’s slab, that takes careful balance. I like this wall though, I’ve climbed on it in comps and it feels good!
