technical details for fun: ~1200 lines of code. uses a super rudimentary pipeline to take a predefined set of 'cube' triangle vertices (manually written), mathematically transform them to rotate, animate, position, scale etc.. add perspective distortion, disqualify invisible faces from rendering, apply super simple lighting, and finally project from 3D to 2D by elegantly calculating the lines between each triangle's vertices (the most complex part of the whole thing by far), and fill the correct pixel colors within the bounds of each triangle all using a depth buffer on a CPU in python btw! numba+numpy help a lot with performance, but it could still be much faster as for windowing, i send the final frame's pixel data (tga in memory) to a windowing engine (wgpu + glfw) that projects it as a UV mapped texture onto a single super zoomed-in wgpu triangle shader lol
[no AI code btw] snapping, joining and losslessly intersecting lines and points turned out to be way more complex than you'd think. it was a great way for me to learn and truly understand a ton of math i had missed out on, and it was a lot of fun
