After thinking on it for a while, I've decided to change how I go about commission slots and pricing. Over the last two batches I've noticed a few things that have been causing a bit of chaos and disorganization in my workflow, and I want to eliminate it as much as possible for both my sake and the people who commission me. I will be adding this to my TOS as well, in much more detail, but as a quick rundown, here are a few changes:My normal commission slots for clean sketch+color will become skeb-like.I will add a separate price for clean sketch+color slots with revisions included.This also includes all YCH slots, design slots, etc. Unfortunately (or fortunately? since it implies enough demand ;;) lately I find myself constantly juggling multiple commissions at once, as to not sit around doing nothing while I wait for revisions to come in, or wips to be approved. Sometimes this process can take up to a week or more before I receive an answer. Admittedly, this causes a lot of chaos, as I then find myself juggling too many clients at once, or I’ll have to inform a client that I have to set their commission aside for the time being as the previous commission I was working on finally got approved for the next stage. I’ve considered working on a maximum of 3 slots at a time, but when I attempted so, the downtime between wips and approvals was too large, which resulted in less slots open, and less income for me to live on. This, I fear, may become frustrating for everyone, understandably so. I myself feel guilty for making people wait additional time after already getting approval for that first wip. But I also do not want to bump down the previous slot, just because the client took time to respond. Which has created a conundrum. I also do not wish to raise my prices yet, as I know everyone is struggling due to the entire world basically being on fire. I have also been adding more and more detail to commissions along the way, creating higher standards.
