Tell me why Adobe Premiere Pro just randomly decides I don't get to import hevc files anymore every few months and the fastest most consistent solution is to have a whole 2nd windows profile just to open premiere in so it actually downloads the codec

I can't give you a detailed answer but I can give you the real one: because Adobe sucks ass and every update makes their shit worse but they don't have to improve because nobody will leave. I swapped to Resolve for YouTube stuff but still have to use Premiere for work and it's legit night and day.
like this has been a known issue for a long time why isn't it fixed
