The famous Roker Roar was last heard on 13th May 1997 as the Black Cats defeated Everton 3-0 in the last competitive game at the famous old stadium What are your memories of this place and how does the Stadium of Light compare in your opinion? #SAFC #Sunderland #groundhopping @wisemensay.co.uk

My first Leicester away match was March 1980 and a 0-0 draw at Roker Park

As a #NUFC fan, I and a #SAFC friend went to our opposite games once a season. My game of 86/87 just happened to be v Gillingham FC at Joker Park. #SAFC lost, & were relegated to Div 3 for the first time ever. How to keep my glee under wraps on the bus home, surrounded by crushed Mackems? 😂😂😂

7 hour car ride home after witnessing a red card and a miserable defeat in the coldest January conditions 🧊 Listened to The Smiths all the way home to cheer ourselves up 🎶!

I visited for a game Sunderland needed to win to avoid relegation on May 3rd 1986 Four Newcastle fans were in the segregated area between Stoke and the paddock, which I thought was an incredible dedication to rivalry I've never been so glad to see Stoke lose tbh, we would have never got out alive
