Looping video of @asmeesh.bsky.social's dog. She has partial heterochromia such that each eye has a smudge of the other's color on opposite sides, in a symmetrical manner. The video turns them into loading spinning discs that grow, rotate and change color opposite to each other.
Even if I were to disregard the impact AI has on unemployment, art theft, misinformation, environmental and economical impacts, among other things, it'd still be a huge, massive, enormous mistake to allow untrustworthy for-profit companies to train, unsupervised, on the personal conversations, image exchanges, creative works and general behavior of millions and millions of users, many of which are underage! Even if this was profitable for Discord as a company, even if this was locked behind paywalls or server settings or disabled by default, even if this was restricted to only "a few" features of the platform, the added risk involved with this sort of third party overreach – which is already encroaching us on every facet of the online ecosystem – would far, far supersede the potential benefits. It would only take a small handful of bad actors, or an extra greedy CEO, or a poorly aligned model, to create an enormous problem both for users of the platform AND the platform's credibility itself. We already have to deal with it on a daily basis on most major platforms, and if some users STILL want it, they can already use it either through plugins, external programs or bots. Please don't force this upon the many millions of users who either actively don't want it or don't know any better.

Gameplay video of a level from the precision platformer game Archaeogem. The first half of the video (labeled "Old") shows a complicated level in which the player has to traverse obstacles to reach the bottom of the screen, and then through a large moving platform, dodge obstacles all the way to the top. The second half of the video (labeled "New") shows a similarly laid out level, but with key differences: the level is now split into three distinct gameplay sections - first going down with a moving platform, then going up with a second moving platform back to the player's entrance height, then finally up to the top of the screen with a final, larger moving platform. The obstacle-dodging challenges are more sight readable, easier to execute, and the safe stops between the platforms give the player plenty of resting room.
Video of a Love2D code project. In the editor is a loop: for i = 0, 30000 do math.distance(0, 0, 1, 1) end Running the code as-is makes the game run at a smooth 120 FPS. Changing the loop end from 30000 to 20000 makes the game run at fewer than 30 FPS. Setting the loop up to 40000 makes the game smooth again. Commenting out the loop entirely makes the game choppy again. Notably, the loop itself is not doing anything. It's just vacuously calculating the distance between two points and not doing anything with that information, nor changing any variables.
