Das Durchschnittsalter beträgt 43,3 Jahre und liegt damit leicht über dem Durchschnitt der Hauptstadt. Die Zahl der Kinder unter 6 Jahren steigt seit 2000 wieder kontinuierlich an. Die ältere Bevölkerung ab 65 Jahren nimmt ebenfalls stark zu. 13 Prozent der Einwohner_innen haben einen Migrationshintergrund. Bei der Mehrheit der Migrant_innen handelt es sich um Spätaussiedler_innen und ihre Familien. Der Ausländeranteil beträgt lediglich 5,2 Prozent und ist damit der zweitniedrigste in Berlin. Mehr als jeder Vierte unter 18 Jahren hat einen Migrationshintergrund. Die Haushaltsgröße beträgt 1,81 Personen, was den zweiten Rang aller Bezirke (nach Reinickendorf) bedeutet.
