WTH? @comradeisobel.bsky.socia: Except it literally is, it’s the single biggest issue that cost her votes from the coalition in 2020 in fact. This isn’t even an issue up for debate. lbster: So the logic, as you would have it, is that people didn’t vote for a liberal candidate complicit in genocide, allowing for a straight-up genocidal Islamophobic candidate to take over and destroy any semblance of hope? I can see why liberals might have thought common sense would’ve prevailed. @comradeisobel.bsky.social: Thinking people should go along with genocide because they are threatened with a worse one isn’t "common sense." And if you can see it, didn’t work. You can either be mad that people weren’t as okay with genocide as you, or you can learn from the experience and grow as a person.
