This is an abstract photo made using intentional camera movement where the camera was panned from left to right with the shutter open to create lines of lights as a picture of the Seabus ferry arriving in Vancouver at night.
These are black and white photographs of an abandoned cottage and dormitory-like building located at the site of a former sanitorium located near Kamloops British Columbia. The paint on the buildings is cracked and peeling, and all the windows are missing. Sheets of plastic that used to cover the windows are in tatters and flutter in the wind.
This picture was taken as the sun was setting and the rock has a warm glow form the sunset. In the foreground is the Thompson river and a long freight train is running along the side of the river, at the base of large rolling hills. The rail cars are reflected in the water.
Processed the file in Capture One after converting to a TIFF. Created separate layers for the sky, foreground rocks and the brighter middle range rocks. Adjusted contrast and brightness on rock layers. Added a tinge of sepia coloring using the Color Editor, plus minor sharpening.
This is an infrared photograph of water rushing down after a heavy rainfall in the Lynn Valley area on Vancouver's North shore. The stream is surrounded by trees on both sides and flows into an opening with rocks in the foreground.
This is a night-time black and white photograph of the Lions Gate Bridge taken from near the Capilano River. All you can see is the bridge deck, the support columns and the illuminated suspension cables.
This picture and the next one are taken from the North Shore of Vancouver, and look down over the Lions Gate Bridge and downtown Vancouver. There is fog at the base of the bridge as well as all through the harbour.
This is a picture taken on the border of downtown Vancouver, BC. There are light trails from the cars on the street, with more light trails from subways trains running on an elevated guideway. Apartment buildings in the distance have some lights on and there is a deep blue sky in the background, as the photograph was taken after sunset.

A photograph taken from Spanish Banks of Lighthouse Park, across the Burrard Inlet. This is a long exposure photograph and the rocks in the foreground look very smooth, and the water is reasonably flat. You can barely see the lighthouse, and the mountains across the water are all in silhouette because the sun has gone below the horizon.
The Lions Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge crosses Vancouver harbour and runs from Stanley Park to North and West Vancouver. The pick was taken using a 720nm infrared filter, which helps highlight the clouds.
The Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds did an early evening flyover in Vancouver this evening; it wasn't a full show with colour jet streams but it was still impressive, and included a number of low level passes. A jet on final approach to YVR can be seen in the distance in the second image. The sky was very hazy and I ended up with some less than accurate colour as I tried to mitigate the effects of the haze.
These are two black and white infrared photographs of The Butterfly, a recently-completed luxury condominium in Vancouver, BC. The building features four rounded columns of suites around a central core, with scultped balcony fronts. The building is white and appears against a black background.
This is a black and white image of Granville Street in downtown Vancouver. The photo was taken in the dark and the neon signs provide much of the light in the image.
These are photographs of a red moon rising over Vancouver this evening. The first photograph was shot at 200mm on my lens, while the second was shot a few minutes later at 105mm.
