‍Myth #1: When solar panels break, they become hazardous to human and environmental health. Reality: The International Energy Administration (IEA) studied whether solar panels posed a significant threat to human and environmental health, and if broken panels would impact local groundwater. They conclusively found that even if the panels were smashed and processed in a basic landfill, there would be no significant hazard to local communities.

Free speech ...selectively heard Diagram of "our needs", "our ideas" and "our stories" going into the system, and "viewpoints that serve to reinforce the system" coming out the other side. A system this interconnected will naturally filter ideas that stray too far from the beaten path. It just takes one function to reject or ignore an idea for change to stall.
Compromise of fail A diagram with lots of closely packed dots at the centre representing the housing industry, a single dot towards the outside of a sphere is labelled "a private startup, building affordable, hyper-efficient, communcal living homes fitted with solar panels & heat pumps." There are lines attached to this dot, pulling it towards the centre. Funding - "as long as you don't price us out of the market..." Cost of Goods Tech - "integrate with our system and it'll cost half the price..." Planning - "...it's just not been done before." We cannot rely on private businesses to enable change, because they are too reliant upon a system that suppresses it.
The problem The same diagram as before, but the number of connections between corporate and government have caused the two sets of dots to nearly merge. There's an arrow pointing to the mess at the centre saying "the problem." When we say "the system is broken", this is the bit we're talking about. The tangled web creates a rigid, compromised system, resilient to change.
