Recovery would take anywhere from a few months to several years for full global restoration. While the actual data on hard drives wouldn't be erased, a severe coronal mass ejection (CME) would induce massive electrical surges that destroy power grid
I am trying to decide if they are saying that would be a bad thing. A few months without the internet could be good for people.
