For now, this means that people who are prescribed abortion pills must now go in person to a clinic or healthcare center to pick up their medication. This ruling does not make it a crime to use abortion pills to end a pregnancy. And it has nothing to do with the safety of abortion pills. Abortion pills are still a safe and effective way to end a pregnancy, with or without the help of the healthcare provider.
