We are finishing up our first week in Naples and Sorrento on a Road Scholar tour. We’ve been having a wonderful time and yesterday rented a Fiat and drove around the end of the peninsula (and lived to tell the tale).

It was very entertaining renting the car; they asked several times to make sure I could drive a car with a manual transmission.
