The building contains student housing, including dormitories, student apartments, or other housing designed, leased, operated, or marketed primarily for occupancy by students, regardless of whether the housing is owned or operated by a college, university, or other educational institution. The system shall provide audible and intelligible voice notification throughout the building, including dwelling units and sleeping units.

Shops and laboratories involving dusts or vapors are protected by heat detectors or other approved detection devices. 4.4. Manual activation is provided from a normally occupied location. 4.5. The building is equipped throughout with an approved automatic sprinkler system installed in accordance with Section 903.3.1.1. 4.6. The emergency voice/alarm communication system will activate on sprinkler waterflow.++

Where the risk analysis determines a need for mass notification, an approved mass notification system shall be provided in accordance with the findings of the risk analysis.++
