The original Donkey Kong video game was a 2D platformer in which a little guy (Mario) has to climb ladders and jump over barrels being flung by Donkey Kong, so he can rescue the damsel being held hostage by the angry ape. The whole game is played on one screen.

Big patches of a dry lichen or mushroom, orange on top with a beige underside, very flat to the branch it's on. Branch is a sick of deadfall on mulch. I think the orange stuff is a wrinkle crust orange fungus (though I think it's more of a lichen, which is related to but distinct from fungus).
Marinara in progress. Right now it's just 9 fresh tomatoes chopped and slowly breaking down, along with other stuff (onion, carrot, garlic, oregano, salt), in a large stock pot.
