Butch Hartman's "Uncle Duck" is overlayed on the thumbnail to make the not-very-clear reference a little clearer. Also, the other reference is Bart Simpson as seen on the "eat pant" cake.
Tenna says "ABSOLUTE Cinema" while posing like Martin Scorsese in the Green Room.
The protagonist (I have not played a lick of Battle Network ever) pulls out a Shotgun attack card (again, cut me some slack) while saying "Cybersword." This is pointed out by the zoomed-in attack portraits on either side of the screen, one of Mega Man shooting a Mettan with his Buster and another with his Buster turning into the aforementioned "Cybersword."
The cool set up, now with a Mega Man YTP by TheBigL1! (The only Mega Man I've played is Mega Man 2 for NES.) One screen shows Colo(u)rMan/WackoMan, a a colourful clown-like Robot Master with spiky hair and long limbs. On the other screen is what he's currently saying: "Righty-o!"
A Windows 11 laptop connected to a second monitor. I've managed to make it look like Windows 7. I've also installed Windows Media Center and am playing an appropriately mid-2000's-sounding song, "Romeo" by PinkPantheress, on it.

Pluey, a small circular creature with 2 points and prominent lips, looks up at Cat Mike, an anthro cat with yellow/pink iris-less eyes, a red bowtie, microphones for hands and feet and an extra mouth on his tail. Cat Mike is "silently dancing, as he always does," while Pluey, confused, says "Wait, who-ey are you-ey?" The words "who-ey" and "you-ey" are glowing bright green for emphasis and to reference certain UT/DR community inside jokes.

Headcanon design for Ribbit, Jax's Abstracted friend. They are an anthro frog, short in stature, wearing a bow-tie and shoes.
Sheriff Woody Pride, as depicted in the storyboards for Toy Story. This is obviously in reference to the popular semi-serious Deltarune Woody Theory, in which it was predicted that a parody of Woody would be the secret boss of Chapter 3. It wasn't, but said theory might be true for Chapter 5.

New character: PartyNoob/Poob (they/them). They are a simple humanoid character with yellow skin, a blue vest and green pants. They are raising their hands in the air and tooting their iconic party noisemaker that is on their person at all times.
Caperil art challenge. My watermark is in the background. Deltarune's Jevil, a short pudgy imp-type Darkner, is doing his in-game idle pose of holding a hand out. Deltarune's Kris, a human with blue skin wearing a suit of armour, is doing a duck-walk pose with a guitar. I gave them their scarf from that one part of the trailer while also giving them flared sleeves.
