Your group is supposed to be a union of people who are already opressed by society, and you opress members of your group just because they are the type of queer you do not like? See I find that interesting, why don’t you view yourself as queer despite having a gender identity that is, almost by definition, queer? (At least by how I’d define queerness)

On the album, Mansbridge imagines a life where she never transitioned, becoming a “terrible guy who sucks”. “People are viewing it through the lens of how these lyrics correlate to being trans, when in fact, it’s the opposite,” she explains. “A lot of it is written from this very indignant, self-righteous, self-destructive point of view – you’re seeing all the negative space around somebody who should be there.”
