I feel like I am always having the opposite conversation. "We need to use a newer kernel/mesa/drivers, or we have to compile everything ourselves, taint the kernel, and hope." "But it works." "It works _NOW_, it won't when we buy new hardware." "Then we keep the same hardware." :facepalm:
