It's the "alone-time" aspect of being disabled that makes it so much easier on me than many people. I miss working hard, outside, building stuff, and miss my kids, but the time alone is overall wonderful. I can well imagine that extroverts would find it maddening 😢

My line has always been, “Thanks for the invitation, but I’m gonna have to pass, only because I don’t want to, if it wasn’t for that, I’d be happy to.” I’ve had people smile and say “0h, ok.” I’ve had others look at me quizzically and say “Oh? Ok.” :-)
