Evan to Kai: "It was never my intention to disappoint you, Kai..." (Kai was Evan's very first friend, and that continues to be significant to him, into his adult life. He doesn't necessarily regret what he's done, but there are times he wishes he could have gone about things in a way that would have spared their friendship. Currently, things are very strained between them, and Evan often frustrates at Kai's mistrust of him... however warranted it may be.) Kai to Evan: "... How did I ever let myself believe in you?" (Evan is the architect of Kai's greatest heartbreak. Nowadays, he wants nothing to do with him, but this is more a result of deep hurt rather than genuine repulsion--though it's close to being an even split. He's continually disgusted & ashamed that he ever thought so highly of him, and absolutely refuses to forgive him. When opportunities arise to torment him, he takes them. He is the only one who remembers what happened.)
Rae's OCs' connections on Art Fight. Satsuki to Evan: "... Why can't I get rid of these feelings? After everything you've done..." (Satsuki is desperately in love with Evan, and has been since they were young. He's broken her trust quite thoroughly, but that hasn't changed. Her walls come down easily around him. She knows she's being manipulated, but she still can't help how she feels. She gives him the benefit of the doubt when no one else would.) Evan to Satsuki: "There's still a use for her... I can't let her get away just yet." (Evan is aware of Satsuki's feelings for him, and uses them to his advantage. He often acts sweetly towards her to keep her wrapped around his finger... though he's not completely free of guilt for how he treats her. How he truly feels about her is a mystery, but no matter his goals, he doesn't put her in danger, if he can help it.) Satsuki to Kai: "... Stupid. I wouldn't be here if not for you." (Satsuki and Kai are quite close, and have been through a lot together. With their parents mostly out of the picture, they support each other where they can. Now and then, she can't help but feel that her brother keeps her at arm's length, and she doesn't know why. Loves him, but really gets sick of his teasing, and resents that he still treats her like a kid, sometimes. Wishes he would rely on her more.) Kai to Satsuki: "Haha... I might be the worst big brother in the entire world." (Kai made a promise to be the best big brother ever, and though he wouldn't admit it, he still tries to fulfill that oath--though his methods can be a bit misguided. He enjoys heckling his sister, but beneath the surface, he can be a touch overprotective. Struggles to forgive himself for his numerous failures to protect her. He is greatly frustrated by Satsuki's relationship with Evan, though he hesitates to interfere.) Alt text continued in the replies.
