I agree—specialized knot implementation is exactly where this fits. The goal isn't to bloat the standard knot but to explore how the protocol can act as a metadata layer for sovereign, heavy-duty storage. If we can define a way for specialized knots to index and reference external petabyte-scale backends (like S3/MinIO), it preserves the light-weight nature of Tangled for most users while enabling serious infrastructure use cases. I'm interested in diving deeper into the technical requirements for such a specialized knot. Do you see potential for a standardized interface for this in the current core?
