Ok, new update: I still don’t LOVE that the combat basically requires you to parry (almost constantly), but having made a conscious effort to lean into this combat style, things ARE more enjoyable I restarted so that I could get the “standard mode” trophy (🤞🏾) and am almost back to the first boss
