the whole thing kinda falls apart when you remember that there is nothing special about the us and china, that youd have to make sure that tuvalu and seychelles will also enforce ai restriction laws

"the bare minimum anyone will have is 10 million dollars" does not sound like a healthy economic outcome imo. i mean im not an economist but that sounds more like a radical reduction in the value of the dollar than anything

Presumably they imagine the ASI controls manufacturing or something, but really post ASI does money even make sense for humans like it does today? They're basically inert at that point economically besides consumption, feeding off an in essence planned economy or from some agent in the AI economy.

Are they seriously trying to plan on the basis of: 1) China will never catch up or get ahead of us technically 2) They know that and accept it? In their "Plan B" scenario (no deal, competition), I can't find a "China wins" scenario, but I'd presume that's China's plan...
