As you suggest, an air 'parcel' travelling in Pipe Flow DOES follow the path that a streamline 'visualizes', and its behaviour can be understood in INCREDIBLE detail by interpreting the streamline's shape. Ironically, that's WHY using them for moving-object Aero is SO misleading...

A picture demonstrating that its creator has noticed an equivalence that everyone else long ago recognised and accepts, but thinks it means that current science and vast fields of engineering practice is actually wrong rather than them personally having slightly misunderstood something. The picture shows a car moving through the air, with both the path of the air relative to the car, and the path of the air relative to the ground shown. The creator of the image fails to see that they’re the same thing from different perspectives and there’s no contradiction.
