Also a bit of shame that most people play it on modern high definition LCD panels, with super accurate EGA default-palettes with crisp, sharp pixels, and the wrong aspect-ratio and it ends up looking like somebody punched your eyeballs with some of the worst dither pairs you've ever experienced.

a good 80% of the long-plays (probably more, i'm being *really* conservative here) of EGA games I see on YouTube and Twitter from retrogamers are using emulators that default to square pixels… it hurts my soul, but also not a big deal.
