Being rich does come with some downsides, though. The first thing you are thinking reading that, is, "cry me a river". That is one of the downsides. You are not allowed to complain about anything, ever. Since most people imagine being rich as nirvana, you are no longer allowed to have any human needs or frustrations in the public eye. Yet, you are still a human being, but most people don't treat you like one.

I caught my child using Al

I just caught my 9 year old using Google Al. She had only been using it off and on for about a week.

She talked to it about how to get along better with her little sisters, how to improve her swimming times after a swim meet, and then she used it to help her write fan fiction plotlines for her favorite book series.

I just had a long conversation with her about it, and she's devastated. She didn't know it had environmental impacts and she now fully understands how sycophantic and insidious it is. She's not in trouble, but she's aware we are not to use that again because we don't want her to lose her creativity."

I already knew how to program when I took an "Intro to BASIC" class in high school. One project was to make a visual demo using the sixteen-color, low-res mode of the Apple II. I quickly put together something algorithmic, looping across the screen coordinates and drawing lines and changing colors. It took me about half an hour to write and tweak, and I was done.

I seriously underestimated what people would create.

One guy presented this amazing demo full of animation and shaded images. I'm talking crazy stuff, like a skull that dripped blood from its eye into a rising pool at the bottom of the screen. And that was just one segment of his project. I was stunned. Clearly I wasn't the hotshot programmer I thought was.

Sources: Two NYPD officers suspended amid questions surrounding deadly chase

Two police officers from the Bronx's 50th Precinct have been suspended amid an investigation into a police chase that turned deadly, sources told NY1.

The incident began Wednesday morning after police officers from the 50th Precinct in the Bronx chased the vehicle to the 34th Precinct in Upper Manhattan, according to sources.

The driver then got off on Dyckman Street in Manhattan and crashed into a building, which caused the car to catch fire, the NYPD said.

The FDNY responded and put the fire out, police said. EMS pronounced the driver dead at the scene, according to police.
Sources said the officers fled the scene after the crash, did not attempt to help the driver and went back to the 50th Precinct without reporting the incident.
