Obituary of a Superpower
Listen, my friends, for this is the hour:
Our nation, no more the West's superpower.
Since forty-five, we've been the light on the hill
But Trump's given that up, he's just Putin's shill.
We gave up our role, our soft powers fade,
Isolation his goal, Musk axed USAID.
Siding with Russia, our vote does refrain
From condemning their war, invading Ukraine.
Are we a kingdom, with Trump in his castle?
Or is he a pawn, our nation a vassal?
Balances thwarted, we've crashed in a ditch,
Guardrails came off, thanks Moscow Mitct.
So listen, dear world, and mourn us, you see.
American, the superpower, but now RIP.
