Two copies of nonfiction picture book THE GALLAUDET ELEVEN: THE STORY OF NASA'S DEAF BIOASTRONAUTS by Kerry O'Malley Cerra and Kristina Gehrmann. One is upright, displaying cover that shows three of the men gleefully riding the "vomit comet", immune to motion sickness. Another is lying open to the title page, signed clockwise by the author and bioastronauts Barry, Harry, John, and David.
[Logo: J&L forming bookends] Deal Announcement Rūta Rimas at Putnam has bought, in an exclusive submission, Sisters Alone by National Book Award winner Shifa Saltagi Safadi. Frozen meets Home Alone in this middle grade verse novel about two sisters stuck home alone in a blizzard who have to navigate their icy relationship, anxiety struggles, and grief to survive the stormy weather and tumultuous events around them. Publication is set for fall 2026; Janine Le at Janine Le Literary Agency brokered the deal for world rights.

Leena, a Syrian child forced to leave her homeland, longs for days long gone until her teta (grandmother) reveals a secret world of memories hidden within the grape leaves of the land she now calls home. Publication is planned for summer 2026; Allison Remcheck at Stimola Literary Studio represented the author, and Janine Le at Janine Le Literary Agency represented the illustrator.
