It's super exciting to see the team do this and bring the Cup back nine years later to Montreal. All the people involved, Caro, Noum (Noémie Marin), Danièle. Very excited for the Pou and the players have been there like Ambrose for so long. It's been fun to see the fan base explode and the game flourish. I love to see how the women's game also changes hockey. You see the audience, the amount of joy and celebration that happens at every game. I was there at the beginning and now it's like everyone's at the party.

“To be honest, I don’t think either league has the answer. I think there needs to be someone who comes forward and unites the leagues in some capacity, or restructures them, or gets them to unite in some sort of way. Whether that’s cross-league exhibitions, or championship winners playing one another at the end, I don’t know what that looks like,” she said. “Something needs to be done to collaborate more on the women’s side at a professional level.”

From CNN: Air traffic controller staffing shortages worsened over the weekend as the nation’s government shutdown hit its fourth week, leading to delays and anxiety, and experts say it won’t get better until air traffic controllers get paid. More than 50 staffing shortages have been reported since Friday morning, causing delays from Los Angeles to Washington, DC, according to an operations update. Controllers are considered essential workers, so they must work during the shutdown, but are not being paid. Flights for Los Angeles International Airport were temporarily halted Sunday because of a staffing shortage at the Southern California TRACON, which handles flights arriving or departing. At Reagan National Airport in Arlington, Virginia, staffing issues caused a ground delay Sunday that was expected to last until midnight.

As a result of the suspension, Babstock was ineligible for two games that Boston may have otherwise used her in the lineup which satisfies the intent of supplementary discipline.
