Since 1980, California has issued sequential license plates, starting around 1AAA000. After 9ZZZ999, that series will end. It’s the Platepocolypse.

Not ZZZZZZZ? I guess I’ve been asleep.
At first I wondered if we could recycle the old numbers that are no longer being used, but then I thought of the old CA plates that I still have, even though they’re not being used on my cars anymore 🤷🏼♀️
