Retired teacher due to post Covid me/cfs, my fatigue and brain fog issues mean I am now registered as disabled. I lived in Germany, hate Brexit and waffle a lot about solar panels, renewables and home batteries.

A screencap of my Octopus Electricity bill for October 2024. Total bill including the Standing Charge and VAT was just under £60, with an average unit price of 8p/kWh. This shows what is possible with the Octopus Agile Energy Tariff and a small home battery.
A golden retriever lies asleep in some bright sunshine, indoors but next to an open sliding door. He is very, very cute and loves saying hello to everyone he meets. The picture was taken in August 2024, back when the sun seemed to stay up all day and doors could be left open without Da shouting about the heating bill. I think Da prefers winter because he doesn't get to use the line about Blackpool illuminations in the Summer.
