Hunts Ketchup Oversize Wall Clock. (Disneyland, c.1970s) A novelty oversized wall clock shaped like wristwatch. This clock was created for promotional purposes by Hunts Ketchup, the official ketchup of Disneyland. The clock features a great image of Mickey Mouse, and measures approximately 36" tall when displayed. The mechanics still function, and the clock is in good condition with some scuffing from use and a waviness to the "strap".

Most of the day, I was outside the Park on traffic detail, but I did go inside to check on things. I ran into Wood at the entrance to the Administration Building. This usually cool, calm and collected man was out of character. We had forgotten to lock the doors to Sleeping Beauty Castle. Internally, it was nothing but an incomplete shell. "Van," he yelled, "there are people in that castle. Get them out before they kill themselves."

SCULPTURED MURALS On either side of the entrance to Tomorrowland are two sculptured reflective surfaces that face guests entering this new land in the Magic Kingdom. For two major pavilions, metallic facades, in the form of sculptured murals symbolize the world of tomorrow in an abstract design. Each mural is 40 feet high by 44 feet long. SPARKLING WATER FOUNTAINS Forefront of each reflective mural is a water fountain composed of several seemingly suspended abstract forms that symbolize inner and outer space (15 feet at highest points).
Prep work to cover up the northern Mary Blair mural with several tiles already damaged or destroyed.
Walt and Lillian Disney celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary four days before Disneyland opened with a ride on the Mark Twain for invited Guests, followed by a program at the Golden Horseshoe. I wonder whose idea it was?
Bombay Sapphire Gurrtinis in The Blind Rabbit. Owner Robert made a special trip to Vons to pick up the Bombay Sapphire. I brought my Mark I Monorail Blue cocktail spears (the only time they have showed up in a commercial setting).
